7 Ways In Which Christ’s Words Stand Out

“And there came a voice out of the cloud, saying, THIS IS MY BELOVED SON: HEAR HIM” (Luke 9:35).

God the Father commanded that the Lord Jesus Christ be heard. This means that Jesus Christ’s words must greatly and urgently be preached, taught, heard and lived by.

Several ministers especially prophets have communicated God’s Word to humanity, but it appears that the words that emanated from the mouth of Jesus stand out.

In this short write-up, I wish to disclose 7 ways in which Christ Jesus’ words are unique for which reasons the Father commanded that they be heard.

1.  Christ’s Word Heals

“But the centurion replied, ‘Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but only SAY THE WORD, AND MY SERVANT WILL BE HEALED” (Matthew 8:8).

“He sent out his WORD AND HEALED THEM, and delivered them from their destruction” (Psalm 107:20).

2.  Christ’s Word Sets Free

“So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, ‘If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and THE TRUTH WILL SET YOU FREE” (John 8:31-32).

Let us look at this: The first miracle Christ Jesus’ words do is to save sinners from their sin. Christ’s word is anointed to break sin’s power over people’s lives. That was what Jesus meant when He said, “The truth will set you free.”

The question is: what does it set people free from? The word sets believers free from all afflictions, diseases, sickness, disappointment most especially from the bondage of sin. So Jesus said, “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed…” (John 8:36).

3. Christ’s Word Cleanses

“Already you are CLEAN BECAUSE OF THE WORD I have spoken to you” (John 15:3).

“That he might sanctify her by THE WASHING OF WATER WITH THE WORD, so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish (Ephesians 5:26).

4. Christ’s Word Builds Faith

“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through THE WORD OF CHRIST” (Romans 10:17).

5.  Christ’s Word Speeds Up Answers To Prayers

“If you abide in me, and MY WORDS ABIDE IN YOU, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples” (John 15:7-8).

6.  Christ’s Words Are Spirit And Life

“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is no help at all. THE WORDS that I have spoken to you are SPIRIT AND LIFE” (John 6:63).

7.  Christ Words Remain Forever

“Heaven and earth will pass away, but MY WORDS WILL NOT PASS AWAY” (Luke 21:33).

Brethren, the words of Christ Jesus are unique so the foundational apostles committed themselves to preaching and teaching them for the perfection of Christians for their eternal salvation.
