Whatever you cultivate in your heart determines the course of your life. The issues of life flow from the heart. You must, therefore, guard your heart or watch over it with all diligence – Prov. 4:23.
Holding a grudge, nurturing anger, harbouring resentment and (cultivate,cultivating) bitterness in your heart will deprive you of experiencing God’s glory in your life, home, marriage, business, career, ministry, education and relationships. Instead you will experience shame, emptiness, hopeless misery, frustration, disappointment, defeat, unfulfilled hopes and dreams.
Joseph was one Old Testament saint who learned to overlook offenses without seeking revenge. He chose to forgive his brothers who sold him into slavery, Portiphar’s wife who told lies about him which landed him in prison and Pharaoh’s chief butler who failed to remember him – Gen. 40:14-15,23.
Joseph experienced honour and glory in Portiphar’s house, in prison, and (at,in) the end, he had this testimony to share with his brothers in Egypt when he revealed himself to them: “So you shall tell my father of ALL MY GLORY IN EGYPT, and of all that you have seen; and you shall hurry and bring my father down here.” – Gen. 45:13.
