One of the crucial expectations of every Christian is to fully grasp and experience God’s love for believers in Christ Jesus. Embracing and understanding this love is emphasized in 1 John 4:16.
And we know (understand, recognize, are conscious of, by observation and by experience) . . .the love God cherishes for us. . .” (1 John 4:16 (Ampc)
We need to become deeply and intimately acquainted with God’s love towards us and His love shed abroad in our hearts by His Spirit (Rom.5:5).
The Scriptures underscore that God loved us with His great love even when we were spiritually dead in sin, showcasing His unconditional love through the sacrifice of His Son (Eph. 3: 4-5 ;John 3:16; Rom. 5:8).
However, the Bible reveals that the goodness and kindness of God our Saviour AND HIS LOVE FOR MANKIND appeared [in human form as the Man, Jesus Christ]. . . (Titus 3 :4 Amp).The manifestation of God’s love is embodied in Jesus Christ.
It is imperative for us to delve deeply into the revelation of God’s love through Jesus, recognizing the magnitude and completeness of this love, which nothing can separate us from (Rom. 8:35,39).
Renewing our minds to the truth of God’s love in Christ is not enough; practical knowledge through personal observation and experience is essential. This is what Apostle Paul prayed for the saints in Ephesus, and his desire for them was to be filled with the fullness of God (Eph 3:14-19).
Thankfully, the practical knowledge of God’s love for us forms the foundation for our relationship with the Father and others, our faith walk, successful prayer life, and victorious Christian living.
