Angels are involved in the administration and delivery of God’s provisions from His storehouse. Under the Old Covenant, God opened the heavens and rained down manna to feed His covenant people, Israel.
Scripture indicates that angels were the agents through whom this heavenly provision was administered among the Israelites during their journey in the wilderness before they entered the Promised Land (Psalm 78:23–25).
Under the New Covenant, Jesus reveals that those who come to Him will experience an open heaven. He declared that believers would see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of Man—indicating continual angelic ministry centred on the Word (John 1:51).
Therefore, under the New Covenant, we live under an open heaven with unhindered access to the provisions of God’s storehouse.
Thankfully, God has sent forth His angels as ministering spirits to serve on behalf of those who are heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14).
We thus activate and direct angelic ministry through the Word—spoken, prayed, believed, lived, and acted upon. Angels heed the voice of God’s Word (Psalm 103:20; John 1:51).
We do not activate angelic ministry through emotion, fleshly aggression, or human effort, but through alignment with God’s Word and His established spiritual order.
