EXPERIENCING GOD’S BEST IN THIS LIFE (Part 1)

We have established that walking in love involves understanding and embracing God’s unconditional love for us, which empowers us to love God, ourselves, and others, and to forgive one another and ourselves.
God has already made provisions in Christ for us to live under His abundant life, benefits, and promises and to experience His best in this life.
We need to understand that while we may have all the faith to access what God has graciously provided, making faith confessions and praying every prayer, our faith and prayers will be hindered without love. Faith is of the heart. For with the heart, a person believes (Rom. 10:10). Therefore, faith is activated, expressed, and works through love (Gal. 5:6).
You can’t harbor animosity, ill will, or unforgiveness in your heart and expect your faith or prayers to work to get you the desired results (Mk 11:24-25; 1 Jn 3:18-21). What empowers our faith is love.
The truth is that if we want to walk in divine health, prosper in God, have victory in every area of our lives, rule and reign in life, grow up spiritually, develop a deep relationship with God, and close every door to the enemy, we must walk in love.
The Spirit of God through the apostle Peter reiterates this truth in this passage of Scripture:
“Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; LOVE AS BROTHERS, be tenderhearted, be courteous; not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, BUT ON THE CONTRARY BLESSING, KNOWING THAT YOU WERE CALLED TO THIS, THAT YOU MAY INHERIT A BLESSING. FOR ‘HE WHO WOULD LOVE LIFE AND SEE GOOD DAYS, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. Let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. FOR THE EYES OF THE LORD ARE ON THE RIGHTEOUS, AND HIS EARS ARE OPEN TO THEIR PRAYERS; but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil'” (1 Pet. 3:8-12).
By practising these principles, we can experience God’s best in all areas of life. Let’s make love our highest goal (1 Cor. 14:1).
