Walking In The Light Through The Path of Love

Scripture details two spiritual realms: light and darkness.

The kingdom of light symbolizes truth, goodness, righteousness, purity, elevation, peace, joy, justice, and growth. Those who are set apart unto God dwell in this light.

Conversely, darkness signifies evil, ignorance, corruption, oppression, and moral decay. Those estranged from God exist in darkness, dominated by spiritual death and under the sway of the powers of darkness.

In the experience of new birth, our eyes are opened. We turn from darkness to light and are delivered from the domain of darkness to partake in the inheritance of the saints in light (Acts 26:18).

Colossians 1:12-13 (AMPC):
12 Giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified us and made us fit to share the inheritance of the saints in the Light. 13 He has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of His beloved Son.

God has qualified us; He has made us worthy of the inheritance, encompassing all blessings, provisions, and benefits—including eternal life, authority, glory, forgiveness, and partnership with the Godhead. God qualified us by delivering us from the dominion of darkness into His marvellous light.

However, it is possible to disqualify ourselves or render ourselves unfit to claim this inheritance if we fail to walk in love. Christians who harbour hatred abide in darkness and spiritual death (1 John 2:9-10; 3:14-15).

Therefore, we must walk in the light along the path of love, allowing the fruit of light in all goodness, righteousness, and truth to manifest in our lives (Eph 5:8-9).
