The Fruit Of Sin Is Evil

“But you denied the Holy and Righteous One, and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, and you killed the Author of life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses” (Acts 3,14-15)).

Since Adam sinned and brought sin unto all people, there has been no limit as to what evil a corrupt heart could do. It has since become deceitful above all things and desperately sick (Jer 17:9), so can do any wicked thing.

Jesus said that it is the storehouse for any kind of evil imaginable (Mk 7:21-22). Therefore it is the launch pad for all ungodly, horrible, and atrocious acts.

Of all the awful acts committed out of it, none comes close to the murder ofJesus, the Holy and Righteous One, and the Author of life. Before His time, prophets and people sent of God were either killed or stoned (Mt 23:37).

For an evil heart hates anything related to God, for it is full of darkness whilst He is full of light. As Christ Jesus said, since the deeds of people are evil, they hate the light (John 3:19,20).

Jesus was killed because He was righteous so light, whereas his killers, like all other people, were sinful so darkness. However, God the Father had predetermined His death to be the means by which He would bring light to them so He raised Him up.(Acts 26:21).

Every human being without Christ is under the control of the devil so is capable of doing any wicked act anytime, anyday, anywhere. Therefore, to live by one’s will is to be prone to evil all the days of a person’s life. It is only in Christ that a person is protected from the evil designs of the devil (1 John 5:18).

No matter how good a person may be, they are subject to the devil without Christ so are capable of any wicked act. It is only in Him that they are guaranteed a life of righteousness.

Therefore, allow the Spirit of God to control your heart, and it shall be freed from its evil inclination and be used for godly acts.

PRAYER: Father, thank you for saving the heart from its evil nature in Christ. May all seeking freedom from wickedness, come to Him and receive your life into their hearts, and be equipped for good instead of bad works. Amen
