“I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that was given you in Christ Jesus, that in every way you were enriched in him in all speech and all knowledge” (1 Corinthians 1:4-5).
Grace is God’s immeasurably rich gift, given in Christ Jesus to meet the greatest need of people; eternal life. It gives divine strength to a person to do what they could not do on their own or receive what was beyond their reach.
Grace can make a person live by faith and not by sight thus: loving their enemy; forgiving the most grievous offence; being healed of even a terminal disease; being delivered from any demonic attack; living at peace amidst turmoil; etc.
Grace enriches a person in every way. Once they receive eternal life in Christ, they have the life of God that is unlimited in riches. This is the life of grace on which faith stands (Rom 5:2) to gain access to these riches, through the Holy Spirit that resides in them.
Grace caused Jesus Christ to leave His riches behind to become poor so that by His poverty, believing sinners might become rich (2 Cor 8:9). If God has given people His richest gift; grace in Jesus Christ, He shall make lesser gifts also available to those in possession of grace (Rom 8:32).
With Christ as God’s Son and heir, He has been given possession of all things owned by God, and those who receive life from Him become children of God and joint heirs with Him.
It is grace that freely gives them all things in Christ by faith. They therefore become enriched in every way, for God bestows his riches on all who call on the name ofJesus Christ (Rom 10:12,13).
Christians are blessed with every blessing in the heavenly places in Christ (Eph 1:3) so they are blessed without limit from above. With all their riches in the hands of Christ Jesus, they only have to get to Him by faith through the Holy Spirit, and they shall possess what is due them.
If you can believe, you can receive anything you ask for in Christ (Mk 11:23).
PRAYER: Father, thank you for grace that has placed your riches within the reach of all who are in Christ Jesus. May they, by faith, possess, out of your rich estate, what is their inheritance in him. Amen.
