The LORD God calls, prepares and commissions people to minister as His servants in the world by grace, but He does not leave them to serve the way they want. God instructs, monitors and evaluates how His servants perform their duties.
He also sends other ministers to speak words of commendation, comfort, reproof and corrections to them. God warns His Church to take the hard and narrow gate that leads to eternal life which is prepared for those who do His will.
There is the urgent need for Christians to please the Lord because of a coming day called THAT DAY; it is a special day when all people will be gathered before Jesus Christ to give accounts of their stewardship.
“On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?” (Matthew 7:22).
It is written that the righteous will scarcely be saved (1 Peter 4:18), and the ministers of the gospel will be judged with greater strictness on that day (James 3:1).
There shall be no grace for mediation on That Day. We will be judged according to our works whether good or bad after being tested by fire. God is the Greatest Examiner, and He will mark our works and the motives of our actions.
The obedient who feared God and did the will of God will be saved, given great rewards and treated to royal welcome to be with the Lord eternally.
But the disobedient, stubborn and rebellious, who disregarded the honourable commandments of Christ, in the performance of their duties, will shamefully be punished.
They will sharply be rebuked and ordered to depart from the Lord’s presence. Immediately, they will be bundled and thrown into the lake of fire to suffer everlasting torment with Satan and his demons. This will be their punishment for practicing lawlessness against the will of God.
Let him who read this article learn from the destruction that was brought upon people in the days of Lot and Noah. The sinners and mockers of God in those days never escaped punishment; they were utterly destroyed. Very few were saved, but many perished.
Now, let the wise ministers of the gospel and the entire Christians learn to enter the kingdom of heaven by the narrow gate that leads to eternal life. May it not be said of us how the anointed sons and daughters have fallen on That Day, the Judgment Day. Maranatha!
